My
name is Nicolas. I was born in Spain in 1977. Since I was a child I always liked
everything that I could use with my own hands. In an independent and auto-didactic
way, I started make simple things in wood, such as small tables, planes, and
cardboard ships.
Later, I started
to do more complex things such as restoring old furniture and marquetry from
plans. My most remarkable works were a one metre tall Eiffel Tower, dinosaur
skeletons and a multi-level wooden box to hold all my primary school technical
design tools. My previous work also included drawings on mirrors, removing some
parts of the silver layer behind in order to create an image.
I then developed
a real interest in music playing drums in a rock group band and I currently
play acoustic steel and electric guitar. Alongside my escalating interest in
art, I also moved into the field of Computer Science which has become a lifelong
passion.
After working as a Volunteer Private
in the Spanish Land Army for two years, I finished my Software Engineering degree
and worked at the same time in several related companies to finance my studies,
working in Ourense, Madrid, Vigo and Murcia.
Since April, 2010,
I have lived in the United Kingdom where I plan to settle for good and to further
develop my career.
